Temporary Closing & Reopening

COVID-19 Update

4/24/2020

Dear Members,

We just wanted to provide an update with regard to reopening the Fitness Center. Governor Lee’s Safer at Home order is set to expire on April 30th, allowing most Tennessee businesses to begin the process of reopening on May 1st. However, we are continuing to monitor state and local directives with regard to reopening gyms and fitness centers. Once that decision has been made, we will communicate to our members the reopening date. We are looking forward to getting open and seeing many of our friends and fitness family. Stayed tuned!

Fort Sanders Health & Fitness Center Management

3/19/2020

Dear Members,

At Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center, the health and safety of our members and employees are our top priority. We have been monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and receiving guidance from Covenant Health’s chief medical officer, the Knox County Health Department, Tennessee Department of Health, and the CDC.

Given the CDC’s recent recommendation to limit gatherings of more than 10 people, Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center has decided to suspend operation on Thursday March 19 at 8:00pm. This is a temporary measure and we hope to reopen soon; however, we will follow CDC guidance regarding group gatherings to determine when it will be safe for our members and employees to reopen. Once the determination is made to re-open, we will communicate that with you so that you may enjoy using our facility again. Again, we want you to know that your health and safety and the health and safety of our team members is our top priority.

We know staying fit is important to you, especially during stressful times like we are experiencing now. To help you in your fitness journey, we are posting videos of our group fitness classes and workouts by our trainers. We will share all videos via our Facebook page and YouTube channel, as well as email our members when videos are available for viewing.

For current members concerned about their membership dues, please know all accounts and memberships will be frozen beginning on Friday, March 20 until the center reopens. Members will receive a credit back to their account for the days the facility is closed in March. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to submit them at fshfcknoxvillegym.com/contact-us, and we will do our best to respond to them in a timely manner.

We encourage all members to remain safe and take the needed precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19. Updates about the virus and ways to reduce the spread of COVID-19 can be found at CovenantHealth.com/coronavirus. Thank you for your support of Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center. We greatly appreciate you, wish you good health, and look forward to serving you again in the near future.

Sincerely,

FSHFC Management/
