Parkinson’s Classes

Don’t let Parkinson’s slow you down! By exercising with our coaches through the Rock Steady Boxing or Parkinson’s Pedalers program you can start the fight against Parkinson’s. These classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can actually lessen their symptoms and live a healthier, happier life.

Rock steady boxingRock Steady Boxing is offered on Mondays at 2:00pm

By exercising with coaches who know the ropes, you can fight your way out of the corner and start to feel and function better. Boxing works by moving you body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. This is a non-contact boxing inspired class that can reverse, reduce and even delay the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.

  • Improved range of motion, posture, flexibility, balance, and walking gait
  • Prevents loss of independence
  • Possible slowed disease progression
  • Enhanced daily quality of life

Parkinson’s Pedaler’s if offered on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays at 1:30pm

Parkinson'sParkinson’s Pedalers is an indoor cycling class at FSHFC that allows Parkinson’s patients to maintain an active lifestyle in a safe environment, improving their overall quality of life! Research shows that regular exercise has many benefits for people with Parkinson’s disease and that it is a vital park of overall disease management. Exercise is an essential component to maintaining mobility and the ability to perform activities of daily living.
